The Angry Video Game Nerd (abbreviated as AVGN, and formerly known as The Angry Nintendo Nerd) is a web television series of surrealistic black comedy themed retrogaming reviews, created by and starring James Rolfe.

The series began on his website, Cinemassacre, in 2004. In 2006, it moved to YouTube, then became a program on ScrewAttack Entertainment, and then moved exclusively to GameTrailers and Cinemassacre. The show was renamed The Angry Video Game Nerd to prevent any trademark issues with Nintendo, allowing him to also review games from non-Nintendo consoles such as Atari and Sega. Rolfe's feature-length film, Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie, was released in 2014.
