This is definitely the best version of The Smurfs because not only is the visuals with retro comic charm, but the characters were a lot more three-dimensional and the humour was a lot more witty![]
About the TV series[]
PhantomStrider actually has a good reason to put it on one of his list of all-time overrated cartoons. Because the narrator LITERALLY only used “The Smurfs, they are good. And Garfunkel, he is bad.”! Another reason why the Hanna-Barbers cartoons that lost Hanna-Barbera’s popularity a LOT and ACTUALLY should have kept more popularity than the The Smurfs TV series is because The Smurfs characters are nothing more than one personality which their names simply say they are. Also, Smurfette was the only female Smurf because this show is sexist.
About the live-action The Smurfs movies[]
AniMat deserved praise instead of negative opinions for bashing films including the live.action The Smurfs duology for being a couple of ugly movies that treat children like they are worthless and excusing them for being what that duology thinks they are because even kids are way more mature than given credit for.
